The Former World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) Universal Champion, Roman Reigns, is set to return to the ring a few months after being diagnosed with leukemia
The 33-year-old announced on October last year on Monday Night Raw that he had being diagnosed with leukemia and relinquished his Universal Title following the events.
However,it is good news for wrestling fans as WWE took to social media to inform Reigns’ fan base of the his return.
His presence has been highly missed and fans have anticipating his return.
On the Instagram post WWE posted
“Roman Reigns returns to Raw this Monday night to provide an update on his battle with leukemia,”
In addition, WWE owner, Vince McMahon, confirmed the news tweeting:
“Roman Reigns will address the status of his fight with leukemia this Monday on Raw,”
Reigns who was first diagnosed with cancer at the tender age of 22, has not been on the WWE TV show since the discovery of his illness five months ago. He has out of the ring to concentrate on his health and focus on his recovery.
The 33-year-old, born Joe Anoai, said that the recurrence of the disease meant he can no longer be the fighting champion.
