Aisha Jumwa has threatened that the next person she will grab the microphone from him is Raila Odinga
Last week there was drama at the funeral of Mombasa Deputy Governor William Kingi’s father on Friday after Malindi MP Aisha Jumwa grabbed the microphone from ODM Secretary General Edwin Sifuna as he addressed mourners.
Trouble started after Sifuna, who had been given an opportunity to speak on behalf of ODM Party leader Raila Odinga, indirectly began explaining why Jumwa was expelled from Orange party
“AS the Secretary General I have a job, I don’t do it targeting anyone, the Party laws were not made by me whoever goes against them faces disciplinary action,” said Sifuna during the burial ceremony of Edward Benjamin Kingi Kazungu.
At that point, Jumwa, who was the one inviting political leaders, interrupted Sifuna and told him to stop politicizing the funeral and instead look for an ODM platform if he wanted to raise party issues.
“Mheshimiwa (Honorable) Sifuna with all due respect where you have reached you should stop, we are not here for politics, respect the Mijikenda please,” she said.
All the drama happened in front of top leaders including Kilifi Governor Amason Kingi, Chief Administrative Officer for lands Gideon Mung’aro and Kilifi County Members of Parliament some of whom had accompanied Sifuna.
